Will is a veteran Professional Geographer who spends his days helping businesses and organizations discover, explore, harness, and leverage the value of geography and location technologies. With official credentials including an M.S. in Geography and a GISP professional certification, Will’s 15 years of technical consulting work provide him a humble perch from which to offer advice, and a tempered perspective on the exceedingly fast pace of change and adoption of geographic technologies.

Not one to shy away from the art of cartography, Will strives to ensure NBT Solutions keeps an eye firmly on design and usability in all of our products. He operates collaboratively in our varied consulting engagements, believing in the value in truly listening to our clients to understand needs before proposing any sort of technical solution. When it comes to technical, Will has a depth of experience across many mapping platforms, and helps NBT Solutions stay true to our multilingual, open approach to geo-technologies.

Will Mitchell

Will lives in Portland, Maine, enjoying the accessible yet world-class dining and drinking offerings, urban trail network, coastal goodness, and great people. He can be found running with his wife Laurie, coaching kids’ travel soccer and watching baseball, or bowling at his brother’s lanes when not working with NBT Solutions clients near and far.
Scott serves as CTO for NBT Solutions. He is a well-versed technologist with 20 years of experience in a wide variety of fields including database design and implementation, data quality and assurance, scientific data processing, cryptography and web services architectures. Regarding software systems, Scott has built them all, from desktop commercial applications to scalable web applications supporting hundreds of users and hundreds of millions of data points. Ever platform-agnostic, he is equally comfortable proposing a COTS solution as he is an open-source alternative. He is at heart a maker and a builder, and can delve into even the most technical details of a project.

Scott has delivered solutions and applications for various state and federal government entities including NASA, NOAA , and the states of Virginia and Hawaii. He also has extensive commercial software product development experience, coming from his years as a software architect and product lead for such companies as 3GI, RSA and GuardianEdge.

Scott Stewart

In his downtime, you can find him running in local races, working his small plot on the family farm, kayaking the local rivers and estuaries, catching live music or traveling to unique destinations. Scott has a B.S. in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and resides in Williamsburg, VA.
Sean has been providing clients with valuable GIS and location-based solutions for over 19 years. Combining his experience in environmental science, planning, engineering, and utility management, he helps clients with GIS and location-based IT solutions that reveal the “locational” characteristics of their mission-critical data and assets.

Sean’s clients have ranged from large corporate clients, such as Eastman Kodak, that seek to optimize processes and workflows to small, non-profit groups that have simple data management and mapping needs. No matter the size of the organization, Sean brings the same enthusiasm, technical experience, and client-oriented approach to each project.

Sean Myers

Sean lives in Buffalo, NY with his wife and yellow Labrador retriever. He is frequently found fly fishing in nearby streams, running in local 5K events, taking walks along Lake Erie, or riding his bike through the streets of Buffalo. His educational background includes a B.S. in Environmental Studies from the College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse and an M.S. in Environmental Administration and Management from the University of New Hampshire, Durham.
