Real Property Information System - City of Buffalo, NY
NBT Solutions is helping the City of Buffalo, NY with their Neighborhood Stabilization Plan by providing a GIS-based information management tool that will help target neighborhoods, identify properties for rehabilitation or demolition, and manage the properties they acquire. NBT developed a Design and Implementation Report that detailed the requirements of the system followed by a Prototype Application that will serve as the basis for the full-scale implementation. The RPIS, once developed, will allow City staff to easily manage, visualize, and analyze the data sets they need to support community development efforts. The RPIS will simplify the property target and acquisition process and make it easier for the City, non-profit organizations, and developers to work collaborativley on neighborhood re-development strategies. As a trusted consultant to the City NBT also helped the City prepare their application for NSP II funds.
NOAA Data Management and Education Efforts
In partnership with Tellus Applied Sciences, NBT Solutions is intimately involved with the data management for the Chesapeake Interpretive Buoys System and web-based education and outreach applications based on estuarine data. NBT provides a range variety of services for the client, including web service and database design, day-to-day operational troubleshooting of a fleet of six near-shore buoys, and the development of Flash-based applications that allow educators to use estuarine data from sensor networks as teaching tools in the science classroom.

Public Health Cluster Analysis in South Carolina

Google Maps Sales Application
NBT is working on a mobile-access custom sales force map for a large national company – currently in prototype stage. Customers and prospects are managed in a data store, mapped, and presented with client specific filters via a Google maps interface. Objectives are to maximize field time efficiency by identifying nearby prospects to call on during down-time.
Health Care Access Study
NBT provided GIS analysis to measure population demographics relative to a specific Cancer Care facility type across a major health systems’ footprint. The gap analysis is intended to support facility placement plans for future care access expansion. NBT has experience in numerous applied geographic technologies for health care.

Coordinated Advocacy Campaign Strategic Mapping Portal
NBT developed a series of analytical data maps and an accompanying prototype dynamic Google maps application to support a coordinated national field campaign. The use of geographic systems is crucial in the coordination of field resources and events across a dozen distinct operations in a cooperative mission. Targeting decisions will be informed and enhanced with dynamic data map feeds, supporting quick strategic planning and action.
